2024 Cookie Contest Honorable Mentions!
Hi Nancy Drew community! Brighella here. Hope your January has started off well! Part of that was new year’s resolutions like Indy talked about here. Perhaps you made a resolution to lay off the extra cookies? Or maybe to eat more cookies? Either way, these cookies below will be sure to get your mouth watering and your mind inspired to play another Nancy Drew game! We’re going to go over some of the 2024 Cookie Contest honorable mentions, which are, if I may say so, extra sweet this year! We had a new category themed around our newly released game, Mystery of the Seven Keys, as well as our classic general and 3D / building categories. If you missed seeing the 6 amazing grand prize and runner up winners, view them here! Let’s go over some of your exceptional edible entries!
Icicle Creek Themed Creations!
This year The White Wolf of Icicle Creek was very a very popular choice! Even one of our winners, Ann K. who got first runner-up in the 3D Category, did a scene of the Icicle Creek Lodge kitchen. We love to see these puzzles as well, like fox and geese (love it or hate it?) and Trapper Dan’s tokens. Another finalist was this scene of the snowball fight with Freddie entered in the 3D / building category! The fort is fully functional, complete with snow balls, a temperature gauge (forecast: 100% chance of deliciousness), plus different fight-phases of the Snow Princess herself (notice the throwing arm and the full-on headshot whitewash). Does she deserve it? Sound off in the comments!

Cute Cookie Figures
These cookies were so cute I don’t know if I could will myself to eat them. Anne, Emily, and Maria hand-painted these cookies of Mariáš the cat from Mystery of the Seven Keys in a few of her different locations! So cute and look at the fur detail and little toes! Vicksipixiecosplay made these sweet figures of classic Nancy and Ned, but this time, on a Sled! I send this entry to Roo and we got a real kick out of that one. The face detail is perfect, such a great cookie for the holidays. Sarah made this hauntingly hilarious dollhouse puzzle and figurines from Castle Malloy! Seriously, just compare it to the real puzzle. The adorable sheep and the pig figures totally shine – they look exact from the game! The dolls have accurate button eyes, and just look at the background detail with the bricks and the rocking horses – just amazing! And, you could really play with the pieces!

Mystery of the Seven Keys
Okay, so I know this was an official contest category. But I couldn’t help but highlight these inspired entries from Nancy’s newest case, Mystery of the Seven Keys! First of all, Isabel’s cute character figures could have gone in this paragraph or the last one. They are perfect little gingerbread-man style sweets, I’d love to receive these! These other entries all highlighted Hungerkünstler Café coffee art designs. I bet they taste really delicious with a nice cup of coffee, or tea if that’s your preference! What beverage do you like to have with your cookies? A specific coffee, or maybe a glass of cold milk? Let me know! LittleMxHoney has an awesome blog post here on The Honey Side where she documents her baking and decorating process for the cookie contest, even with a video showcasing these latte art designs below! You might remember her drumstick cookies from last year? It’s a great read, go follow her blog and her socials! Catherine did seven keys, which is perfect because it’s cookies and you can’t have just one. And Claire really did some detailed decoration work showcasing the mysterious book, the marionette theater carriage, and even Oskar’s ancient artifact! It’s so crazy to me to see our hard work on KEY come to life in these contests.

Scenic Snapshots
These next entries are just gorgeous. Look at our friend Southern Sleuth’s map here, do you recognize it? Of course, it’s that curious “George” guy’s map from Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake! Just look at those details, even the locations of Red’s birds, the log, and the yellow ribbon! I can say as a kid, I didn’t use this map very much, but I had the route to the cemetery memorized to a T. Left, right right, left right, you get the idea. If Nancy had a delicious cookie like this in real life, she probably wouldn’t get so lost. But, maybe your Nancy would eat that cookie immediately so, scratch that. Another gorgeous entry is @its_locked_nd’s fountain from the conservatory in Blackmoor Manor – home of legendary Grenny and the Water Fairy, and of course Nancy’s friend, Gorf. I’d love to have a fountain like this, and it looks just like the one in the game with the swirling tiles! The model of Scoop from Alibi In Ashes was sent in by our general category first runner-up winner, Isabel! This entry also was a finalist. And we can’t skip this seriously cool scene from Midnight In Salem, it’s just amazing. The Hathorne House has a burning window, and just look at the real life candle burning! Frank and Joe are perfect in their cute concept art poses. And the cemetery statue of Abigail Woodley and her lantern – exquisite!

Nancy Drew Games Icons
These next few entries are iconic – both figuratively and literally! Check out these figures that match the game icons from Mystery of the Seven Keys, Labyrinth of Lies, and Danger by Design! We also have more iconic cookies from Claire showcasing the classic book stack menu, Koko Kringle, detective badges, magnifying glass, and more! And look at these throwback physical disks with the bright colors by Isabel. Tell me in the comments, did you own any of these? Or maybe you had the old black ones!

Such a huge thank you to all the community that sent entries this year, we love to see your enthusiasm and you really outdid yourselves! We all discussed how difficult voting was this year for the team here at HeR Interactive. Some of the scores were just 1 or 2 points away from each other, so it was a very close call this time. Needless to say, you all deserve it! Please, if you have a Nancy Drew game to pick up for your collection or for a gift, don’t miss out on the Puzzle Sale we have going on right now through National Puzzle Day, this Wednesday January 29th, 2025. Use code PUZZLE25 at checkout for half off any Nancy Drew Game and free strategy guide (except Mystery of the Seven Keys). Keep an eye out for our next contest, I’m sure many of you can guess what it’ll be! In the mean time, be sure to view every entry sent for this year’s cookie contest, starring you all here below!

Oh, Southern Sleuth’s cookies are beautiful! The cemetery and the statue and Frank & Joe are great!
Oh. My. Goodness. These. Are. Fabulous!
