The Excitement of a Hidden Room

We shared this Nancy Drew moment today from Tomb of the Lost Queen:

One of my favorite parts of playing a Nancy Drew game is the excitement of discovering a secret passage, or a locked room. It is thrilling to open up access to a place where so many secrets can be locked away and kept safe, which includes history, and of course, clues. The secret door in Message in a Haunted Mansion (if you’ve played it, you know which one I am referring to) is perhaps my favorite, but finding your way to the tower in Treasure in the Royal Tower is another great instance! There are SOO many cases of hidden rooms, secret passageways, and little nooks hidden throughout the Nancy Drew world that it would be silly to not include one in each mystery. (At least I think so!)

What is your favorite instance of discovering a new room, passage, or nook?

In case you haven’t heard, today is Video Game Day! So we are offering Secrets Can Kill Remastered (our first video game) at 50% off when you use promo code VGD2015.

The Curse of Blackmoor Manor was by far my favorite because it was riddled with secret passages and the odd peep hole. That sense of new discovery was also intensified when Jane’s tutor would suddenly be behind Nancy, scaring the life out of me 🙂

Mine was Curse of Blackmoor Manor! Loved the intricate passageways and my personal favorite, a secret slide !
