National Fried Chicken Day 2017

I’m seriously thinking about celebrating today’s holiday… because fried chicken is great! Professor Hotchkiss orders a LOT of fried chicken in Treasure in the Royal Tower. Fifty drumsticks! How many of those can you eat?

If you haven’t played Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower, it’s on sale today here!

Heidi reminds me so much of my best friend when i was a kid.
I hope things get better for you soon, Heidi, and you find lots and lots of happiness. I’m so glad you have Nancy to comfort you.

Will MID be available on ps4? Or just on pc like the old games? It would be so amazing if it was available on consoles too.

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hi Lumiere! I hope future Nancy Drew games will be on consoles! At this time I can’t say if they will be available on other platforms than PC and Mac.

    Hey LJ!
I am in no way trying to be snarky here, but is HeR at all concerned that their complete radio silence on MID will alienate their fans? I mean, I imagine the ND adventure games are their major source of income, and if their current policy is that you’re allowed to tell us absolutely NOTHING (not even a release YEAR, for goodness sake), are they not worried that their fans will grow so frustrated they’ll give up and seek entertainment from a company that COMMUNICATES? And BTW LJ, I know this is not your fault and you’re in a terrible position. I’m just curious where HeR’s head is at, I guess.

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hello ChestyVonF, HeR is well aware of many fans’ concerns for the next Nancy Drew game. While we have tried to respond to all fans’ comments, we hope this lack of speed doesn’t portray us as “radio silent.” There is also no news (specific details) to share concerning the next game. We are all looking forward to the days where we can share more content and behind-the-scenes footage, but we don’t want to portray anything that may change during production. Therefore we wait until the game is mostly done before we start showing it off or promising an exact release date. I’m sorry you and many others are frustrated, and I look forward to alleviating that with what you want later on. Please stay tuned to when have more to share in the future. I will certainly be sharing more on the blog down the road.

      • ChestyVonF says:

So… not even a release YEAR, then?

        • Little Jackalope says:

Hello ChestyVonF, I do not have any specifics or even educated estimate on when the next game will be released. When I do have this info, I will be updating the web page, alerting everyone via social media, and of course, here on the blog.

        Hey LJ,

While I’m sure you understand this, I’d like to put it in writing so you can show your supervisors if need be. Radio silence IS a lack of updates. We don’t care that things are going to change during the production of the game, we understand that release dates aren’t always exact, but when the ONLY thing we hear is “We’ll have updates soon, stay sleuthy” that’s the only thing worse than silence – it’s static. It’s showing that the company IS there and that our comments ARE being read, and systematically IGNORED. I understand this isn’t your fault, but if you need proof to show the higher-ups that people consider cut and paste responses with no information to be radio silent or static, well, this is it.

      • Sggoren says:

So this is basically an admission that the game is *not* “mostly done.” I would define mostly done as 75% or more completed, which means this game is not going to be released in 2017. That will make it a game 4+ years in the making.

I would hope your higher-ups take a look at how other game companies promote their in-progress games. We are not an ignorant group of consumers as we are being treated. We understand that things may change as production goes on. That could all be resolved with a simple ‘Hey guys! This is just a beta version, nothing is finalized yet.’ The higher-ups need to put down their egos and do some serious market research, because this bizarre strategy is unheard of and is driving this company into the ground.

Hopefully MID will be out by November. This is the longest I have waited since I started playing back in 2000 when my dad brought home Secrets Can Kill. My baby is due in November and it would be great if it could come out before I have my hands too full to play. At least the game profile is back up.
