Snow and Mardi Gras
There was no blog post yesterday because we had a surprise snow day here in the Pacific Northwest. And it gets crazy driving conditions when that happens. Anyways!
Today is Mardi Gras! Therefore we celebrate with a sale in hopes of sharing the two Nancy Drew games that centers on the celebration of Fat Tuesday and Lent. In Legend of the Crystal Skull, Nancy travels to New Orleans, home of great Mardi Gras events and parties. However, Nancy isn’t there for the festivities…she’s there to solve a mystery!
In The Phantom of Venice, Nancy travels to Venice, Italy, where everyone is getting ready for Carnivale, but there is a masked phantom robber stealing things at night. If you don’t have these mystery games, you can get them (or gift them) in digital download for 50% off today only with the promo code Mardi17 at checkout.
Don’t forget to enjoy the spicy gumbo!
As for the weekend puzzle, it was a simple rail fence cipher. When you align the letters out onto one line, you get [Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home!].

Are you guys even still working on MID? Like is that still a thing? Is it ever going to come out?
Hi Will, I don’t have anything to share on MID yet, sorry! When we have a release date, I’ll be sure to share it. 🙂
I apologize if this comes off as rude, butt has been almost two years since a game was last released and there have been very very little information released on the game that is supposedly being made right now. The last “update” we got was months ago. Why is it taking so long? Why is there no new information at all? I know that a new platform is being used, but the game was outsourced so wouldn’t the company hire someone who already knew Unity and be able to make a game in a reasonable time frame? It would be stupid not to. Was a deadline not given to the outsourcing team? The way Herinteractive has been acting makes absolutely no sense.
Hello Cole, thanks for sharing your concern. I wish I could share more news on the progress of MID, but I don’t have any at the moment.
Oops, I meant to reply to this comment.
Regardless of whether or not MID ever comes out, I think we all deserve a proper explanation for the lack of progress and what’s been happening.
Hello Lily, I understand your frustration. I’m looking forward to sharing more news about Midnight in Salem, as soon as I have news to share.
I’m sorry for directing this comment at you, Little Jackalope. I know your hands are tied and I know that you care about the games as much as we do and you would absolutely tell us what was going on if you could. I was just very frustrated and took it out on the wrong person. Thank you for being so patient and answering our comments even when they just repeat themselves. Is there a way for me to contact the CEO directly?
Hi Cole, I’m sorry for causing frustration. Unfortunately there is no direct contact to the CEO. Our company receives all feedback, concerns, questions, (and testimonials) via feedback@herinteractive.com. However, we won’t be able to share any more info about MID at this time, but when we do have news, we will be sure to announce it!
