A Few Things Indy Has Been Working On

Hi Guys, it’s me Indy again.  I just wanted to share with you a few things I have been working on since I last talked to you guys. First, here is my new video I put out yesterday. After popular request for a Nancy Drew craft video that appeals to all fans I created this DIY Shrinky Dink video. Check it out and share with me pictures of the Shrinky Dinks you guys make!

I also want to point out that there are two new free downloads added to the website. The first one is my desktop background. A few fans requested it be added after they saw it in my past video. You can find it here, in the downloads tab on the Alibi in Ashes product page. The second free download a ringtone! It is the classic Nancy Drew theme song from some of our very first games. It can be found here, in the downloads tab on the Stay Tuned For Danger product page.

Stay Sleuthy!

    Indy,

I am trying to save or upload the ringtone to my iPhone but it doesn’t let me. Would you happen to know how to get it on there?

    Thanks!

    • Indy says:

Hi Brianna, when uploading it to your iPhone I believe you have to upload it to your iTunes account on your computer first, the transfer it to your phone. Let me know if that doesn’t work and I can try playing around more and will let you know.

        Indy,

I played around with it last night and even looked up how to put music on iTunes as a ringtone and I could not get it to follow how they had explained it. I am able to put it on in my music just not set it as a ring tone.

Have ya’ll ever thought about starting a kickstarter for STFD remastered? Fans have been begging for years and it would honestly be a great way for you to see how serious we are about that project. I’m sure if you put a page up, the cost will be paid almost immediately. It’s worth a shot! It would be great to see that HER still cares and is listening to the fans 🙂

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hi Shanna! We have tried a Kickstarter campaign in the past for another beloved Nancy Drew game, but we couldn’t reach our goal in time, so it was cancelled. 🙁

I’m curious: Have you try patreon? It’s like Kickstarter but it’s ongoing.

And can you delete the earlier posts I made at around 2 am Eastern? I was just thinking about STFD and why Nancy say “It’s locked” but there’s no key to be found. Sorry about that long post and a few typos. =D

Although I would love a MID demo! And a STFD Remastered!

        • Indy says:

We had tried the Kickstarter campaign, but after no success we cancelled the push and have not tried another campaign since. There are currently no plans for future campaigns either. Thank you for the idea though! I understand how much everyone wants to play STFD again and I hope that one day we can because everyone deserves to meet Mattie Jensen.

I’m just wondering… Are HeR going to make a demo version of MID? And whatever happened to the demos for DAN-SAW? I remembered playing them one time before the website changed in 2014.

Sorry this has nothing to do with this post but I was just curious because I just saw a message board post that an administrator said to someone in November 2015 the demo was to be talked about and someone else posted today asking for an update.

This got me curious about demos games. I remembered reading about a post dated in early 2011 (sometime before I joined the message boards) that you could play a STFD demo where I hear you could open the forever locked drawer in Mattie’s desk drawer.

I actually had a theory about where the key could be and posted in a STFD Discussion thread. I do hope HeR makes a remastered STFD someday. I read that the audio files had more unused audio than what’s actually in the game.

Sorry about the long comment! I love your craft videos Indy! I don’t think I will make any soon but maybe I could someday. However, I really love how tos videos and behind the scenes! Maybe you could make another video in the recording studio? Or screenshot/take a picture of the early game design for MID or something and show us a real close up of it to make it more interesting?

    • Amy Christine says:

Oh I should note that I never got to play the demo version of STFD.

      • Amy Christine says:

Just checked the thread which was actually pored in 2008 (I also read in a 2005 post too) that STFD demo was available. In the 2008 post, it was edited in July 2011 (two months before I started getting into HeR) saying it didn’t exist anymore). =)

    • Indy says:

Hi Amy, I am really sorry but at the moment there are no plans fro STFD to be remastered. This was one of my favorite games as well so it really stinks and I understand why so many fans hope for it to be remastered. I have no idea where the key is, but I do know on the Wikipedia page for the game you can find some of the extra audio files there if you would like to look.
As for the demo for MID I cannot be much more of help to you just because I have no more updates on the status of MID. We do know that many fans have been asking for demos however we have no put out a demo to a game in our Core PC line in a long time.
I am happy you are enjoying my videos! Stay tuned for more videos, more updates on MID, and other exciting things that we are working on in the office. 🙂

      • Alex says:

“Stay tuned for updates on MID”? Does that mean you’re gonna make a vid with MID updates? Cause that would be awesome 🙂

  5. Kit says:

I’m really sorry for asking, because I know a lot of fans have been asking recently, and it must be getting old. But when will we get some news on MID?

    • Indy says:

Hi Kit, we do not have an exact date in mind for when we will release new information on MID. Please check the blogs and website occasionally for when we release more info it will be there.
