Echo Answers and Rentaro Shirt

A fan recently shared with us on Facebook that she asked her Amazon Echo “What is your favorite Nancy Drew game?” and she responded with a real game!

Other fans have asked their Echos, and the most popular answer seems to be… well… I won’t spoil it. Try asking her yourself! Or click and highlight this answer here for the spoiler: [Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water’s Edge.]

Also, we have new t-shirts available! Here’s one I’m excited about: Rentaro’s shirt!

  3. Austin L says:

Awesome shirt! Love Rentaro. Haha I love that Alexa has a favorite ND game. Pretty synonymous with the shirt going on sale

Hi LJ! I don’t want to bother your work, but I was checking out the russian ND games, and I noticed how alot of the game titles ( and some characters ) are translated differently then what their original name used to be. Was that done on purpose, or was it just over looked? I haven’t checked if it’s the same for the other languanges, but I was very disappointed at my find. I hope you get my point, as I’m not great at explaining things in a short way 🙂

Hi Sakura! I’m not sure why the names and things were changed. It was possible that our Russian partners who translated the games changed things to make them more suitable for the Russian-speaking players. For example, in the French translated Nancy Drew books, they change Nancy’s name to “Kitty Drew” so it’s easier for French speakers to pronounce. That’s my only thought. 🙂 Sorry I don’t have more details!

      • Sakura says:

I guess thats probably why, thanks LJ! In my opinion I would still be intruged with a “straight” translation;). Also, wow about the French “Kitty”, cool fun fact that I didn’t know about.

      • Sofia says:

In russian games few names were changed because they sounds indecently on russian =) I know about Minette in Danger by Design (Marie in russian version) and Suki from Shadow at the Water’s Edge (Ski). Best regards from Saint-Petersburg!

Whoa, that’s interesting! Haha. I wonder how the Echo made that decision…
Also, when’s the Twitch stream for this month?

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hello pairamomjeans! I’m not sure if I will have a Twitch stream this month. I’ve been really busy with a few things. 🙁 Will let everyone know once I have a date.

  6. Andrew says:

Hi LJ. Would it be possible to have the Yurei design from the SAW box art be turned into a T-Shirt?

  7. Terez says:

Thank you so much for the new shirt! Rentaro is one of my favorite characters of all time in Nd!

  8. Liz says:

Hi LJ! I was just wondering if you guys would ever consider printing the T-shirt designs on a different brand of T-shirt? I love the Nancy Drew shirts( I have 4). But 2 of them have small holes that have created in the middle of the shirt. It actually just happened to my brand new shirt the first day I wore it. I think maybe the T-shirt material is thin and my jeans rubbing on it created the hole, but it still made me sad to lose my shirt on the first day of wear 🙁 I’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else but wanted to ask just in case.

    Love it! 🙂
Also I have a shirt idea – there could be one with the horse from Shadow Ranch (maybe like the box art?)
Thank you so much for making this t-shirt design!!

  10. Is there the herinteractive logo on a t-shirt? Just curious!

  11. Christine says:

Alexa had a good answer. Mine would be different. I would say “the next one!” Long live Her Interactive and Nancy Drew!

  12. Jen says:

I saw most people’s Alexas were saying Shadow at the Water’s Edge. So I asked my Alexa and she said her favorite was Curse of Blackmoor Manor.

I wonder what determines how she answers…
