The Random Things You Remember
September 15th, 2015
After playing and replaying games like Curse of Blackmoor Manor, you realize how many facts, trivia and otherwise useless knowledge you have stored up in your mind. Perhaps it is just me, but I spend so much time in the Nancy Drew universe that I remember things like Arm and Anvil Baking Soda, molasses added to sugar makes brown sugar, “Scopa” means “to sweep,” and that one jingle about Mystico. What random things from the Nancy Drew games can you think up on the spot?
Here’s a challenger question:
-Little Jackalope
Alan Penvellyn
John Penvellyn
John Pennvellyn is right I think
Ooooooh! I know who it was but I can’t for the life of me remember! XD
Oh, also could you give my brother a birthday shout-out? His name is Joseph, he is turning 8 on the 25th, and his favorite game is DED. Thanks!
You bet!
For random things, I alawys remember the Latin phrases said by Abbey from MHM like “Pax vobiscum” and “Semper ubi sub ubi”. The latter, I believe, was also in Secret of the Scarlet Hand. I also noticed it in the mini-series written on a white board 😀
I always will remember “Semper ubi sub ubi”!
Moments gone! – Zoe from SPY. That’s ones of my favorite quotes.
I’ll always remember the Latin phrases best. Or the different parts of a raven in WWA, Runes from Blackmoore Manor, Tesla in Deadly Device – I’ve probably learned more from Nancy Drew than seventh grade year in middle school!
And John Penvellyn, for the question! 🙂
