Nancy Drew Musical!
November 4th, 2014
We have the greatest fans ever! I’m always excited to see how fans get so creative and share with us their enthusiasm for Nancy Drew. One of our great fans, Caroline, wrote a musical… but not just any musical. It was a Nancy Drew musical! She shared this with us last week, and we have now highlighted Caroline on our “Fan Spotlight” page. Visit that page now to watch the YouTube video of the recital: Nancy Drew and the Mystery of the Gypsy Robe!
Today’s news from Her Interactive: order your games early in time for Christmas! Learn more about shipping information here.

I so wish I can order them and I even wish that I can play the games although I managed to play them on my mother’s laptop. But I can only get one chance with each game I play.
Hi, Little Jackalope!
Could you please give me a birthday shout-out on November 14th? 🙂
You bet!
wow… that’s super cool!!!!I love to do Nancy Drew projects but mine aren’t as cool as that lol- I made a Nancy Drew paper doll collection that has Nancy, One (or two) outfits for her for every game, and my favorite characters. 🙂
I asked for some Nancy Drew merchandise so thanks for this update! I’ll show it to my mom. 🙂 I’m super excited for Christmas!!!!!!I’m going to play lots of Nancy Drew games, one of which is DED because I started it on Christmas day- and it’s perfect to drink with a hot cup of coco. 🙂

I remember trying to write a book based on Nancy Drew but it didn’t work out for me. I had many book ideas like The Deadly Device Two, Mystery of the Golden Swan, Ghost of Morrison Mansion and Treasure of the Emerald Bracelet. Pretty good titles for a Nancy Drew book.:-)
G*psy is a racial slur for Romani people. Disappointed that a company like HeR would feel comfortable spreading this.
Hello Jean! In the video of the play, the term “gypsy” is clarified as referring to the theater folk, who are often in the chorus, because they travel from show to show. The robe is traditionally given to the most outstanding in these roles. I apologize if this has offended you, as I did not intend the first definition found in Merrium-Websters dictionary. We wanted to highlight our fan’s effort and hard work she put into sharing Nancy Drew. 🙂
A Nancy Drew musical is a great idea, but not one that uses racial slurs. The word “g*psy” is a racial slur referring to the Romani people, and it shouldn’t be used or encouraged.
I’m glad that fans are getting involved and doing interesting things, but no one needs to be using slurs like that.
