HI Snapshots #8

Anyone speak Russian?

I always thought it was pretty amazing that such a small company would be able to produce and translate their games to so many languages. It’s great to think about people all over the globe playing the same game… and probably getting stuck on the same puzzle. 😛

I speak a Slavic language (Montenegrian, yay!) and can understand some written and spoken Russian because I can read Cyrillic.

I know, it’s so cool to think of that. It is, as the phrase goes, a small world. Do you know how many languages the games of been translated in? And, I would assume they use different voice actors?

That is pretty cool! I don’t suppose they use the same voice actors for translated games — that would be pretty complicated. 😛

@DixieGirl – Yeah, unfortunately it’s a bit too difficult for us to do it. But it would certainly be a interesting to hear what Nancy Drew sounds like in France.

  7. Novel_Sleuth says:

@Alleyn – That’s pretty awesome to speak a whole other language, particularly one with a complete different alphabet.

Currently we translate to Russian and French, but who knows what else we’ll do in the future. 😛

I once got TRN in Russian. But only the typed words, not the voices. I loved that game! It was so fun to read the replies in Russian and try to figure out which one to pick!
