Hey, there super sleuths!
If you could go back and replay ONE Nancy Drew game for the first time which would it be? I mean, the culprit, all the puzzle solutions, the kooky characters would all be lost from memory! You’d have no idea what to expect and you would get to experience the game all over again with no idea what is coming next.
This is such a hard idea for me. Part of me initially thought I’d like to experience Curse of Blackmoor Manor all over again. I played it over the weekend and it was the first time I triggered ALL the optional hauntings involving the Beast of Blackmoor. Since these are sometimes hard to get during organic gameplay, I am hesitant to pick Curse of Blackmoor Manor as my choice.
The Secret of the Old Clock then came to mind, but I loved reading that book as a kid and even though the game is different than the book, I could never play it without kind of knowing what is happening.
I *think* I finally am landing on Secret of Shadow Ranch. The big ending is so exciting I would love to experience it again and have no idea what is coming. I also think it is just task-heavy enough where it keeps the game flow going even if you aren’t sure what to do next. Maybe it was just because I was a kid, but I absolutely had no idea who the culprit was going to be. When I replay the game now it seems so obvious! But I know what clues to look for and what clues are just a red herring. I’d love to play this game as an adult and see if I could solve the mystery before Nancy does.
