Beach Vacation…Deception Island?

Today I am not in the office I’m out having a sort of Nancy Drew vacation: on the beach here in Washington state. Of course, I always think of Danger on Deception Island whenever I’m near the coast, and am always looking for those iconic moments to experience in real life. Tomorrow I am going to a bistro that was once a boat house, and will be eating a bowl of clam chowder. Yum.
Today, I am at the kite festival, and while I didn’t go clam digging, I did see an Orca whale…well…an Orca kite. That will have to do. (Click on each of the images for a larger view!)

Uhhhh…..I want to go on a Nancy Drew VACATION!!!! I haven’t played Danger On Deception Island yet, but I should get that one! I love New England Clam Chowder but I can’t have it too often because I had gal bladder surgery almost 2 years ago so my stomach doesn’t allow me to eat that much creamy stuff!
