Video Games Day 2017

Happy Video Games Day! I really enjoy playing video games at home. Most of my games are on the PC, but I also have an Xbox, Xbox One, and the old school consoles like the NES, Sega Genesis, and Nintendo Game Cube. What consoles do you have? Do you have a favorite childhood favorite?

Nancy Drew Mystery Adventure Games

Nancy Drew games were prevalent in my childhood, but I played many others. Safecracker, Carmen San Diego, The Oregon Trail, 1602 A.D., Zoo Tycoon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot (on my family PlayStation), and so many more!

We will be streaming Secrets Can Kill REMASTERED Thursday and Friday this week! What would be some great prize ideas that relate to this game? Follow us for free on Twitch to get the alerts when we go live and to join the live chat!

Nancy Drew Mystery Adventure Games Twitch Party

At the Twitch party we will be celebrating this classic game. We will not have any news, updates or fun behind-the-scenes things to share about Midnight in Salem (MID).

For a grand prize you could offer to pay a fan’s tuition…lol!

Maybe a backpack filled with ND books?

Man, I love video games! probably more than I should… prize ideas could be an early copy of the original SCK (like the one in the big box or something)… since SCK is a classic and very original game to the company, I think anything that was/is retro to HeR would be cool for a prize.

My family has the original NES so I play alot of those games from it. I also played a Carmen Sandiego game though I mostly watched the old cartoon from the 90s. As for a prize maybe some Nancy Drew themed school supplies (does that even exist? XD). I also think maybe a backpack with Nancy Drew books would be really cool.

I think you should play the original SCK as well it would be awesome for us fans to see the game that started it all. I can still play it on my computer but I know a lot of fans don’t own it or can’t play it.I think we would all enjoy watching you play it.

Hello Blackrose1984! That was my original plan, but I cannot get the original game to work on my newer computer. 🙁

      • Huw Miller says:

Really? that’s weird… I was able to get it to run on the latest version of Windows 10 on a brand new Acer… it’s probably too late to bother, but i’d gladly help you try and get it installed if you’re up for it.

Hi Huw, I do not have Windows 10 on my machine, it is a Windows 7 and won’t work with the first game. 🙁 (I can get STfD to work, though.)

That’s cool that you have a Sega Genesis, i have one too, and a Playstation 2 and 3, and a Gameboy Advance and DS.
Aside from HeR games, i played a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog and Disney games on Sega, Super Mario and Donkey Kong Country on the GB Advance, and my favorite PS2 game was Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2.
Recently i’ve been playing Nancy Drew games (not made by HeR) on the DS, as well as the Hardy Boys game, Treasure on the Tracks (that is made by HeR), because my computer is broken right now.

The consoles I have are PS2, Wii, 3DS, DSi, DS Lite, the original DS, Xbox 360, and an Xbox One. My childhood favorite is the PS2. The games I played are Nancy Drew, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, Harry Potter, Carmen Sandiego, Spongebob, Scooby Doo, and Spyro. For a prize idea for the Twitch party I was thinking the Medallion Connie wears.

Just wondering, when will you be able to post some more of those ND widescreen wallpapers? I’ve been wanting to see another one 😀

  8. Amy Christine says:

I only started playing the Nancy Drew games around 2005 when my sister introduced me to them but growing up, I played games created by Humongous Entertainment (who made Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, etc.).

I have played games on the Wii but they belonged to my brother and there was a GameCube game that was playable on the Wii that I loved, Mario Party 6.

So yeah, most of the games I’ve played are on the PC.

Hi! Can you wish me happy birthday on October 3rd? 🙂
