Day Three Twitch – RAN (And Weekend Puzzle #349)
Tonight we complete Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships LIVE on Twitch! We also are going to give away one more prize for the selfie contest – which really isn’t a contest since it’s a random draw of all who participate.
In case you missed yesterday’s party, here it is on YouTube:
And don’t forget! This game is on sale until end of today! Shop here! Also, you can “gift” a digital game to a friend, like the one relative who thinks they are really smart and can solve everything – this is just the game for them! 😉
Indy has left our offices to continue her college education, but not before she left behind this fun farewell video. We’ll miss you, Indy!! Have fun at Disney Land!
Here’s your weekend puzzle! (The dots are just to separate the numbers.)
74. 105. 109. 109. 121. 44. 32. 115. 116. 111. 112. 32. 104. 105. 116. 116. 105. 110. 103. 32. 121. 111. 117. 114. 32. 115. 105. 115. 116. 101. 114. 33.

“But”. Sorry it was bothering me. Lol
We’re gonna miss you, Indy! The three of you guys were great together! Good luck with school!
Okay gonna rant and don’t think I’m mad at you LJ because I know you have absolutely no control over anything since your just in the marketing department) Could the puzzle be related to the new game? And if not could you give us tidbits about the game in the weekend puzzles that actually show information? Considering this company is losing a lot of it’s loyal fans since you all have decided to completely ignore any and everything MID related. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if you all said the game wasnt coming out at all and that you guys were shutting down the company. The fact that y’all can’t even give us a rough estimate on the how the progress of the game is coming along is leading a LOT of fans to believe that you all haven’t even started it yet. Then of course the unity excuse is far beyond worn out. Like I said earlier I know that you have nothing to do with the game not coming out so don’t think I’m mad at you, but it’s seriously upsetting every one when the company says that they have a substantial update coming and then go almost four months without saying anything which causes a lot of fans to lose trust in a once great company. Instead of doing one substantial update that seems like it’s never going to come out now, how about little updates like, we just finished recording the voices for the characters or the design of the game has been completed or even better, the art work for the cover has been completed and here is a picture of what it looks like!
It’s not that hard to update us and let us know the game is still being made and ACTUAL progress has been made considering you all have had almost three years to make progress in the game. So even anything would make fans happy at this point!
END RANT!
Hello Paige. I understand your frustration. I once used to give tidbits about games in progress out or hidden in weekend puzzles. Unfortunately, I cannot do this with MID, which is still in the works. When we have more news or behind the scenes information to share, I will readily share that with everyone like my habits once were in the past. Also, the rumor about the company shutting down is not true. We are not shutting down, and still plan on MID. In the meantime, I will be talking about Nancy Drew in general, or celebrating older games each day as I wait with you for the next game.
But WHY are you not allowed to do so with MID? The company is seriously alienating their customer/fan base. Especially since a “substantial update” was promised 4 months ago and still nothing.
Sooo…no response?
Hello Denise, I don’t have an answer for you. We are doing our best to respond to each comment and question, even if it isn’t the answer they are looking for. As I have said in many responses, when I have behind-the-scenes information to share, I will not hesitate to. At this time, I do not have anything.
Hear, hear.
I think HeR’s handling of this whole MID thing is reprehensible. It shows absolutely zero respect for the fan community when they are not even willing to commit to a YEAR of release. I too would not be surprised if HeR had no intention of ever releasing MID, and just aren’t saying anything to string fans along. I don’t understand how HeR can run a company this way. Don’t programmers have deadlines? Doesn’t HeR have any expectations of its employees to complete work? The longer we go without a single update, the louder HeR is telling fans, “we don’t care about you.” I know the logic is that if updates are given, then HeR will have to commit to delivering on those updates. Well, GOOD. That is how a company works: you promise a product and work hard to deliver it.
It’s so disheartening to see that a company that built such extraordinary games and a fan community cannot be bothered to deliver a single piece of information to loyal fans. Instead, it’s left up to poor LJ to show that she respects fans by talking about older games, running contests and responding to concerns.
If HeR had any respect for fans whatsoever, the company heads would look at one another and say, “we owe it to the fans to let them know what’s going on.” Instead, it seems like they’re just saying, “They don’t need to know anything; they’ll hang on as long as we let them dangle. We don’t owe them anything. Those pathetic people will stick around no matter what.”
But will we?
Hello ChestyVonF. Sometimes, when changes happen in a company to upgrade products and their systems, it will take longer than expected to release a product. I’m sorry I do not have an estimated release date for our next game, nor do I have any behind-the-scenes information to share. We are trying our best to respond to every comment, concern, and question that come in, even if the answer isn’t what is desired. We do care about our fans, and while there are things happening in the background, some team members (like myself) try to keep Nancy Drew alive and have community with our fans by hosting Twitch parties, contests, and being active on social media. We do not want to promise a release date and then fail to meet it, therefore we do not have a release date to share until we are more certain. Also, we have never called our fans “pathetic people,” nor do we take them for granted. I appreciate your patience as the team continues with their work. I hope to satisfy you with different answers in the future.
Thanks LJ. Like I said in my rant, I think you’re one of the few team members who DOES show respect for the fans, and I really do appreciate everything you and marketing do to keep us entertained and celebrating ND during this long, long wait. My problem is with the heads of HeR: they’re the guys who have decided that absolutely zero information will be shared.
ChestyVon, you’re talking about respect, how about you respect them and be patient.
PEOPLE. Just BE PATIENT.
Your guys’ complaining is so much more frustrating than anything. If you want to be “respected” then show some at least.
It’s not about patience . . . it isn’t even about MID anymore . . . with the way HeR has changed, people are concerned about the future of the company.
The company that we once knew died in May 2015 after SEA was released and the new CEO canned the entire development team.
Sophia,
I thought I was pretty respectful in the words I chose. But you’re entitled to your opinion.
