Day Two Twitch: SSH & Book 14
Tonight we continue in our internship at Beech Hill museum. Join us for the party on Twitch here!
In case you missed it, here’s yesterday’s video:
Don’t forget! We have this game on sale in honor of our party! Shop here.
As promised to you (some fans in the chat feed yesterday were discussing this), here’s our official 3-letter game acronyms that we use here in the office of HeR Interactive (click on the image for a larger view):
On a side note, I finished reading Nancy Drew mystery stories, book 14: The Whispering Statue. I barely remember the first time I read it, and there were many parts I really enjoyed – like Nancy going undercover and wearing a wig, George doing her awesome judo on villains, and the summertime feel at the yacht club. Have you read this one? I read the revised edition, but based on the cover art of the originals, I may want to read the older versions to see how different the whispering statue is in the story!

Anyone else find it kinda fishy they didn’t put #33 Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem on there? We’ve all been calling it MID. Do they not have an official abbreviation for it yet? Do they not talk about it around the office? Is the game even real? Probably their little hidden way of telling us the game is done for. Conspiracy, I think not…
Sarah, the official abbreviation for Midnight in Salem is MID.
Then you should put that on your list.
I’m curious. Why is the abbreviation MID instead of MIS?
Hello Roxy. That is what our dev team decides. They often have technical reasons (file-related naming conventions) but I’m not entirely sure why they chose to use a D versus an S. It’s very minor.
Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who thinks that. I find it suspicious too. They hardly even talk about the game. Why can’t there be a blog post every month saying: “MID is coming along nicely!” Or something to explain that outsourcing means they can’t share as many updates as before. 2 years and no real updates. Very disappointing.
That list is only of games that have already come out, not games currently in the works or potential games.
Hi LJ. I’m wondering, do the higher ups at HeR know that the fans are starting to feel like we’re being strung along?
A year ago I was checking in every day for updates. Now, it’s like once every 1-2 weeks and there’s never anything new. Pretty soon I’m going to give up altogether. I know I’m not the only one.
Do they know this? Why is nothing being done? Even a letter to tell us they know we still exist would be something. Some kind of proof that they are working on MID would go a long way.
Hello Bess, yes, our team is aware of our fans’ desire for Midnight in Salem. We know you exist and do our best to reply to everyone’s comments or questions, even if the answers are repetitive.
I don’t even WANT to play Midnight in Salem. I just want to know what in the world is going on at HeR.
Bess, you need to have patience. Computer Games don’t just come out of nowhere. They take time and money to be made and Her Interactive is trying to make this game a very good game.
Is there anyway for them to give us anything??? Like when they released the character profile pics??? Heck even an update on those would be great. Just anything. I know you can’t give us any real details since its so under wraps but just something as it has been 2 years now.
Hello SoonToBeMomma25, I’m sorry I don’t have anything more to give you at this time. When I have things to share, I won’t hesitate to do so.
