Blackmoor Memories

I was digging in the archives for some graphics inspiration and came across another great piece. Well… it’s not THAT great, but it is pretty cool! This was one of the concept ideas for the cover art of Curse of Blackmoor Manor. As much as I like it, I really like the final version much better – so much more eerie and mysterious! (Did you notice the creepy flying gargoyles in the background of this one?)

A fan, Kathryn, made a poster via DENY Designs for her sister. It’s the blanket poem in Curse of Blackmoor Manor found in Jane’s room. How cool is that?

Holy man, that tapestry is awesome! Do you happen to have a link as to where to buy it?

    • Little Jackalope says:

I do not, sorry! It was custom made/ordered by Kathryn.

Hi! I got a copy of the original design straight from HER Interactive, then had the tapestry printed for me by DENY designs ( They printed it up and got it to me within 10 days so it was super quick and easy! My sister absolutely freaked out when she saw it and has it hanging in her room. I emailed her interactive customer service to get the picture itself.

I think i like that cover art better, actually. To me, the gargoyles are creepier, and I’ve always liked best the covers without people on them. I’m not sure exactly why… More mysterious maybe?
I wonder what made them discard this one in the end.

How cool! I love stuff like this! Also, I’m going to be making Nancy Drew inspired dog collars. I’ll send pics when they’re finished!

    Hi LJ!
Tomorrow (June 6th) is my 25th birthday.
Would you mind giving me a shoutout? My favorite game is Danger on Deception Island 😀

Thanks, LJ! I too prefer the actual CUR cover, but this one’s pretty neat too.

Looking forward to seeing what HER has finished with MID so far! Can’t wait to explore Salem 🙂
