Fail Memes and Spring Break

Last Friday we finished playing Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy on Twitch. Now you can watch all episodes on our YouTube channel, in case you missed any. Here’s Day Four:

And because of of my epic failure to pick up and drop chemicals with grace and poise (at least 5 times exploding myself) I had to make this meme. Please tell me I’m not the only one who has suffered the consequences of failure at this puzzle… >_<

Yep. I feel the same for the chemicals! I think every time I try it, I try to see if I could do it without exploding…I haven’t tried it in awhile…perhaps I should play HAU again sometime…

  2. Will says:

No matter how many times I play through this game (and believe me, I play through a LOT) I always mess it up and explode. >.< ๐Ÿ™

  3. Andriu says:

In my opinion five times is tremendously good. When I played that game the last time, I stopped counting at around 20 times.

    Hey Little Jackalope!

When I do that chemical puzzle in the Haunting of Castle Malloy, it feels like I always die like 15 times before I finish the puzzle. So your not alone! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi LJ,

If for some reason MID cannot be completed, please can you release (or sell) the script of the game, so that the fans can have closure and as a kindly farewell to all of us who have loved the games and company all these years?

I would be so sad not to see how the game is after all this time.

    Thank you!

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hello again Jackson, the script or art from the work on MID will not be available for purchase, but if there are any behind-the-scenes fun facts or bits I could share with you in the future, I will be sure to share it on the blog. MID is still in the works, so stay tuned for future updates.

      • Mina says:

Yes! This would be great to get as closure from a company we used to know and love! RIP HeR!

      • Jackson says:

I mean if the game doesnt come out. If the game is released, I understand that you cant sell the script. Thank you for considering this and passing on the suggestion! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Jackson says:

PS maybe you could sell the script of Ship of Shadows as an ebook while we wait for MID, that would be so cool! I bet you would get lots of sales!

        • Milly says:

I think that’s a really cool idea! I woudl love to read the Ebook.

Wasn’t Ship of Shadows like, practically complete when it was shelved? Why wouldn’t HeR release a game that was already made? All that work for nothing.

          • Little Jackalope says:

That was a rumor, Shop of Shadows only had some art and some rough design done. It was only starting to be built at the time of the recession.

          • Jackson says:

            Hi LJ,

What about the script? Was that done for Ship of Shadows?

(maybe while we wait for MID you could share SOS stuff, that would be so fun!)

          • Little Jackalope says:

Hi again Jackson, I really don’t know about the script. That game was started before I joined and the original writer is no longer at the company. I also can’t seem to find it in our archives. Sorry!

          • Milly says:

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up!

          • Jackson says:

Thanks for looking, LJ! Maybe someday you will uncover it in a secret passageway ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Teresa says:

LJ if you can’t fix the mini games on the website who does it cause i want to see how many jumps i did to beat it i just did 23 jumps on it

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hello Teresa, the people who made these mini games no longer are at the company. It would be difficult to update them. ๐Ÿ™ However, you can play the games within the game they were made from. For example, the horse-jumping game is from Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, and in that you can play the horse jumping as many times as you’d like. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Susan Dugger says:

when are we going to get an update for mid.

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hello Susan, I’m not sure when the team will have news to share, but when we do, I’ll be sure to update the blog and the web site. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Claire says:

The chemicals puzzle and catching all the sheep were the hardest in the game! ๐Ÿ™‚
