Trivia Tuesday

Honestly, if this theme park actually existed and my friends were up for it, I would probably go. I enjoy theme parks, and this one even has a happy clam dude that talks to you at every ride. Plus they have a hotel that serves fundaes, and for someone with a massive sweet tooth that would be hard to turn down. What about you guys? Would you want to go to Captain’s Cove Amusement Park?

The answer is a fun pass! I have played and beaten this game 5 times and I love it!

  2. Noelle says:

Ah, this brings back memories! The Haunted Carousel was the first Nancy Drew game I ever played, and it remains one of my favorites! And yes, I would definitely want to go to Captain’s Cove Amusement Park…So what if there’s some shady employees, some broken (not to mention haunted) rides, and the park is being sued by Lance Huffington? I still want a happy clam dude to talk to me 🙂

    • Little Jackalope says:

This would be a great game to start on in the Nancy Drew series! And I agree — the happy clam dude makes it all worth it. -Tess

    A Fun Pass.

  4. Nancy says:

Do you guys need anyone to beta test new games? Because I think I qualify.

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hi, Nancy! We do not at the moment, but if you go to our Product Registration page here, you will be able to apply to do future beta testing. We randomly choose testers from the pool of individuals who have registered their games with HeR Interactive (also be sure to register each one of your games, as this will increase your chances to be chosen as a beta tester). -Tess

      • Courtney says:

What about if we have already registered our Nancy Drew games in the past? Do we need to register them again in order to be placed in the pool a second time or are we still in the pool? Just wondering because I’d love to beta test too! 🙂

        • Little Jackalope says:

Hi, Courtney! If it’s been more than a couple of years since you registered your games, you may want to go ahead and register again. -Tess

I love The Haunted Carousel! I think it would make the game more fun if we can explore everywhere (there were some ferris weels on the map and front of the carousel). Maybe Nancy can go back to Captian’s Cove again?

And yes, I would love to go if it’s a real park! I don’t live near amusement park and it’s been a long time since I’ve been to an amusement park.

A little non- Nancy Drew related: I have been playing Roller Coaster Tycoon, a computer game I played when I was younger and the game is about managing a park! Just thought you might like to know that =D

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hi, Amy! There certainly are a lot of rides that would be fun to explore in the Haunted Carousel. Also, best of luck in managing your Roller Coaster Tycoon theme park! 🙂 -Tess

  6. EJ says:

I have seen ads for Ship of Shadow Dossier 3. Does anybody know what happened to it?

    • Little Jackalope says:

Hi, EJ! Here’s the answer to your question from an interview with a former CEO: “We don’t currently have plans to do more in the Dossier line, but you never know. We learned a lot from doing the Dossier line, but one issue that we ran into was that fans of our core line of Nancy Drew mysteries didn’t feel that the Dossier line met their expectations. We’ve established a style of gameplay in the twenty plus games in the series and it’s hard to change that for the hard-core fan. So if we were to try our hand again at a Dossier game or something like it, we will need to figure out how to ensure that any new game meets the expectations of our current fans.” -Tess
