Sweet dreams, Dr. Craven.
I remember a few years ago now (speaking of Throwback Thursday’s) when I was still in college, I lived in a dorm setting with several other girls for a few weeks over winter break. It was really far from home, and though I wasn’t incredibly homesick it was kind of weird being away over the holidays. One night I was reading on my bunk bed when I overheard some hysterical laughing and squealing from some of the girls a couple of dividers over (we were kind of separated into spaces of roughly four to five girls each, and the spaces were divided by these wall/divider things).
At first I thought they were watching a scary movie, and then I heard Nancy’s voice and I got super excited because I realized they were playing a Nancy Drew game. I don’t remember what game they were playing, but whichever one it was they were at one of the more suspenseful parts in the game. They continued playing for a while, and for the rest of the time I was reading I would get this stupid smile on my face with every shriek and burst of laughter. It was funny to listen to, but I think it made me smile more because in a way, it was a little piece of home.
Amazing how Nancy Drew has a way of doing that.

The characters really do make the games more fun like Gunner from SEA or Carl from CAP.
Absolutely! I love how unique each character is too. -Tess
Until I got to college, I thought I was the only person in my entire region who had ever even heard of the games. As it turns out, my floor had 2 Nancy Drew fans living on it and we were room mates!
That’s awesome, Kit! I love that you all got to be roommates! Did you play any games together? -Tess
We all played Tomb of the Lost Queen, The Deadly Device, The Silent Spy, and Thornton Hall. We played all of them the day we got the discs; loads of fun!
Nice! Playing as a group is the best. -Tess
It must’ve been weird hearing them play that game.
By the way, I’ve got a couple of questions from some other “ND Geeks” I know.
1. Will Sonny Joon make an appearance in MID?
2. Have you guys ever considered or will consider Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys LEGO sets?
3. How and when will we be informed of MID’s preorder date?
Hi Nancy! In answer to your questions:
1. I’m not able to say, unfortunately.
2. That’s a great idea. We are not at the moment, but someone is currently campaigning for it. Here’s the link if you want to check it out: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/119017
3. I can’t tell you when, but I can tell you we will likely be informing you guys through our usual channels (ASB, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc). We’ll be sure to get the word out as best we can when that happens.
Thanks!
-Tess
1. Aw man!
2. AWESOME! But I know an eight year old “Master Builder” who can do better. Maybe I’ll send you some pics. 😉
3. I’ll keep watching and waiting. Thx
I love how each character is so special in his/her own way!
