This is so sad that the contest is open for US residents only…
Me too 🙁
Hello Little Jackalope,
I was playing through Tomb of the Lost Queen for the umpteenth time and came across an interesting Bess factoid that has always puzzled me. In the game she says that she “plays an Egyptologist on a tv show”. When did Bess become an actress? And she’s on a TV show? That’s pretty big especially for a small town of River Heights. Was this a one off thing for her character or will this continue? I was very surprised to hear her mention being an actress on TV.
Thanks for the info
-Kate.
Hi Kate! Bess was joking. She was being facetious about TV Egyptologists. She’s implying that they are actors; not real archaeologists are anything like that.
This is such a cool contest! I don’t really care much for the trip, so I probably won’t enter, although I do have a TON of things I could use XD I’ve been to the Canadian Rockies, Venice, and London, and have had many other smaller ND experiences that I could use! I always like to picture myself as Nancy if I travel anywhere, so I’ve done a lot of things she’s done haha. I’m really excited to see what other ND fans pull out of the bag! 😀
Hi Little Jackalope,
Just a random Nancy Drew thought perhaps for a future post: Have you or anyone you know made versions of the board or card games found within the Nancy Drew games. I always thought it would be fun to have a copy of “Skull and Bones” that Jane and Nancy play in “Curse of Blackmoor Manor”. Also the board game in Captive curse looked really interesting especially as you help to create one of the card characters.
What are your favourite in game games? Any you’ve found, purchased or made yourself?
-Kate
Hi Kate! I’ve only seen one or two fans make their own versions of the games. However, you are most likely to find the card game “Scopa!” at your nearby game store (and online!). Senet from Tomb of the Lost Queen is a real game that may be a bit trickier to find. (But that one’s easy to make with paper and whatever existing game pieces you have — like from a chess set, or even checkers pieces.)
Does this mean that maybe the Midnight in Salem game might be released in February 2018 to coincide with the end date of this contest?
Hi Teresa, we do not have a release date set for MID at this time. The “win a trip to Salem” contest ended a year and a half ago. The winner had already been selected and has traveled to Salem already.
Speaking of Salem… when are they gonna release Midnight in Salem?? It can’t get here fast enough!!!!!!
Is it just me or do those appear to be possible screenshots in the promotions photo? I couldn’t tell so had to ask 🙂
Nope, not screenshots from the game, sorry! They are of the real-life town, modern day. 🙂
