Ethel Bosinny (And Weekend Puzzle #254)
September 26th, 2014
Is this Nancy Drew meme true for you?
I remember playing Curse of Blackmoor Manor when I was younger and it first came out. The nightmares and talk of monsters and dark tunnels creeped me out. Later, when I got older and played the game again, I found that Ethel was the most scary! She would appear out of nowhere, spontaneously, like a quiet cat, and that sly grin of hers. *Shudders*
Here’s your weekend puzzle! Hope you like codes and ciphers….! The key is Labyrinth of Lies. 😉
“Lltm, Z’u vgac mlbw lsetc uill.”
We have a few birthdays to celebrate!
-Little Jackalope
That is true. Even when I’ve played it like a thousand times, I still jump when you first meet Ethel outside Jane’s room. And when you are in the process of waving the wand over the gargoyle downstairs in the Great Hall, I jump when I turn around. Ha!
I have a question!
You recently showed photo of a t-shirt design of Professor Hotchkiss. Will we ever meet up wit Prof. Hotchkiss. We haven’t seen her since Tomb of the Lost Queen. And we haven’t seen her character since Treasure in the Royal Tower. I was just wandering since she is into history and all. Well French history, but that’s beside the point.
Anyway, that’s it. Thanks!
We ourselves don’t even know if we shall meet Prof. Hotchkiss again. We do, however, have the future to look forward to, so it’s always possible! 🙂
Hey there! I love all these posts and was wondering how to get your birthday on? Mines November 30th 1994, I’d love to get a shout out. I’ve been playing since I was 5 and I turn 20 thus year! My favorites are Message in a Haunted Mansion and Legend of the Crystal Skull.
You simply ask here in the comments. 🙂 I’ve got it on my calendar!
Cool! I recently turned 20 on August 24. I least I’m not the only one who is 20 that plays Nancy Drew.
Hi LJ! I remember Ethel being pretty freaky during CUR because she always seemed to show up at the creepiest times! Could I ask you to do a belated birthday shout out for my brother Mike on Monday? He turns 23 on Sept. 27! Thanks!
You bet!
Can you give a hint i dont understand the “key” puzzles
Some codes and ciphers require a key phrase or key word to solve it. 🙂
Actually, I’ve struggled with these puzzles since they began. I’m not really sure where to start with them or what to do!
Hannah, check out my comment about the Vigenere Cipher on the next blog post where I show the puzzle answer. I explain this one there. 😉
