It’s Dangerous Outside!
July 24th, 2014
There are several Nancy Drew games where going outside could mean danger. In The Captive Curse, that is where the monster could reach you. In Treasure in the Royal Tower and The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, the freezing weather would be too unsafe to venture into. In Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, the dogs could track you down in the dark, as we show in today’s Throwback moment.
Can you relate to this fear?
We have a birthday!

Could I get a birthday shout out on the 28th? I would like anything from the Secret of Shadow Ranch on it. Thanks
Absolutely! π
Ah yes. I remember this well, from so long ago. Now I know they won’t get me, but when I was younger, I would always click as fast as I possibly could to get to Red’s tree, and once I was at the top, I knew I was safe. For now. π
Hi Little Jackalope,
My sister and I love playing Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake! We like turn off all of the lights in the room and turn the volume up to make the game scarier. And then we scream like crazy ladies!
We were wondering – we really love Secret of Shadow Ranch..and is there any remote possibility that you could get Dave’s face on a pillowcase? Please?!
That is already on my wish list, too! But it will have to wait until we have time to add that, since it’s an older game (those are harder to grab art for). At this time we are focused on the current game art, and flat object designs (like in-game posters, texture art, etc). π Someday Dave will be on a pillowcase!
Oh, that’s cool, my favorite game is Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake! Also, my brother has a birthday on July 28th, he’ll be turning 14, can he have a birthday shout-out? His name is Paul, it would mean a lot! π
Sure can! π
Oooooh yes. I totally relate to those moments! π
In White Wolf, you get those lovely toasty packs, unlike TRT where you’d better make your outdoor sleuthing quick! XD And DOG….whoo, it can be spooky to go outside and get yourself lost in the forest at night!
Right now, I’m playing CAP for the first time – I’be been enjoying it so much. I love it when I get a monster alert on my phone! Priceless Nancy moment! Lol There’s a really dangerous feel when you go outside in CAP! π
I froze so many times in ICE and TRT π
Oh, yes, I relate to these moments! Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake was my the first game, I was so scared and excited! Also, my brother has birthday on July 28th, he’ll be turning 14, so can he have a birthday shout-out please? It would mean a lot! π
You bet!
Uhh, sorry, I forgot, my brother’s name is Paul π
