Her Interactive: How long have you worked at Her Interactive?
Jared: A little over 2 years…
Her Interactive: What do you do as the Director of Marketing?
Jared: I manage a gifted team of marketing individuals that have a passion for Nancy Drew games and an unparalleled commitment to our wonderful fans. From a high level perspective, Marketing is tasked with 8 responsibilities:
- Set the marketing strategy, plan the attack and execute
- Focus on the customer
- Own the Her Interactive and Nancy Drew brands
- Manage outside vendors and partners
- Create new ideas & campaigns
- Communicate internally/externally (social media, PR, events, newsletters, etc)
- Manage a budget
- Understand and elevate the ROI (Return on Investment) and ROR (Return on Relationship)
Her Interactive: When you aren’t marketing Nancy Drew games, what do you do for fun? Any hobbies?
Jared: Film, travel, sports (especially soccer and college football), golfing, food, cycling, people watching, charity work, and listening to Little Jackalope giggling all day.
Her Interactive: Is there a location you’d like to see Nancy visit, or something you’d like to see Nancy do?
Jared: That’s a tough question…there are still so many wonderful places for her to visit. But for selfish reasons, I would love to see her visit Amsterdam.
Her Interactive: If you had to choose between one of the following dishes from the games, what would your choice be?

- d. Cuisses de Grenouille
Jared: I love Parisian food…so I would probably go with the Cuisses de Grenoulille.
Her Interactive: What is your favorite movie?
Jared: Wow…I have way too many favorite movies to list here. But I am very much looking forward to seeing “Lincoln” with Daniel Day-Lewis and “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” later this year.
Her Interactive: What is your favorite TV show?
Jared: Currently my favorite show is “Game of Thrones.”
Her Interactive: What is your favorite color combination?
Jared: Red and White
Her Interactive: What’s it like to work at Her Interactive?
Jared: It’s a blast. I love my job. I am surrounded by very creative and passionate people who also love what they do. Her Interactive is a great place to work.
Her Interactive: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Jared: Negative people
