Meet Brighella!

What’s up, sleuths!

My name is Brighella, it’s so great to finally introduce myself. You might have interacted with me on social media before as “Bri” for short! I work here at HeR Interactive in marketing and I have to say that it’s such a cool experience. Working alongside Roo and Indy and the other people here has been very exciting!

A bit about me – I’m first and foremost a Nancy Drew Games fan. Like many of you I started playing the games as a kid since they first came out! I’ve been along for the ride for every game, and the community sure has grown a lot from the old message board days. And the community is the best part of this job- interacting with you all and the other Nancy Drew creators out there! Video games had a big impact on me growing up, and it’s a dream to share that with others. My name “Brighella” comes from one of my very favorite games, Phantom of Venice (not my #1 favorite, though)! I have always loved the Phantom’s commedia dell’arte name, which is why I chose that name for my alias.

(I started Nancy and other old mystery games with one of these, does that make me an elder fan?) source

I’m very excited to continue getting to know you all. There are lots of awesome things to come here from HeR Interactive! Roo and I (and maybe some other creators? :D) could have some cool things happening shortly around the corner! There could be more vlogs, streaming, giveaways, maybe some behind the scenes? What would you like to see next?

And lastly – What are some questions you have for me? I’ll see if I can answer some of them in an upcoming vlog!

  1. Hi Bri, it’s nice to meet you! I’m also Italian and a HUGE Nancy Drew super fan. I’m curious to know, what are your top 3 favorite Nancy Drew games of all time? Thanks!

    • Brighella says:

Hi italiangamerjoe! I love your channel and see you frequently in stream chats! Thanks for the question, I’ve never narrowed it down to 3 in my mind before. BUT, one of them will probably be Phantom of Venice. 😉 I will answer fully in an upcoming vlog! -Brighella

I enjoy the games, been playing them when the games came out. Wish the games still selling in the stores. I kind of quit playing for a while (nothing to do with the games,) Now I’m trying to get back into it again. Will there be any new games coming out?

    • Brighella says:

Hi Nancy! Thanks for the comment. Seeing the games in stores, those were the days! A lot of people were introduced to Nancy Drew that way. I will see if I can answer your question in an upcoming vlog! -Brighella

  3. Rhonda Moore says:

Yes are there going to be any new games, I have played since the beginning. Thanks

    • Brighella says:

Hello Rhonda, it’s so cool to meet others who have played these games so long. Your question is a tough but common one, I will see what I can share in an upcoming vlog. -Brighella

    Hi Brice,

Nice to meet you! Do you when we will get some news about the next Nancy Drew game?

    Thanks in advance,

    • Brighella says:

Hi Felicity! Nice to meet you, too. Thanks for your question! I’ll take a part in my next vlog to answer it! -Brighella

      • Guest says:

Potentially dumb question…where would I find the vlog when you do post it? I’d love to hear some feedback regarding a new game as well.

  5. Welcome, Brighella! Are you a marketing intern? What will you get to be doing? The mentions of vlogs and streams excite me! I would love to hear more about behind the scenes actions – those are always intriguing to hear. If you could stay a weekend at any Nabcy Drew game location, where would you go? Looking forward to seeing more of you!

    • Brighella says:

Wow Calina! It’s so cool to be a part of your legacy in the Amateur Sleuth Blog! Story Retold is such a fun channel that I watch all the time. Your questions are great and probably others would like to know as well. I will answer them in my vlog! -Brighella

Hi! One thing I think would nice that you’ve mentioned is more youtube videos, YouTube has gotten pretty big and that is pretty much the main (social?) media that I use. Fingers crossed we see more new game news

  7. M says:

Quick question, does HeR still/ever look and read the message boards?? Seems like we are being pretty well ignored, and the only response we get is *working on it*… as someone else once said before, telling us whether or not characters have been drawn up shouldn’t be harmful to a company, it’s not like they have to show pictures… ‍♀️

  8. Katie B. says:

Do you know if LJ will be doing anymore Twitch streams in future?
    I haven’t seen any in two years…

    • Brighella says:

Hi Katie! You’re in luck, LJ streams all the time! Her channel is Story Retold now and she releases many videos weekly, and currently streams Nancy Drew games on Mondays! Her main channel is on Youtube, but you can find her socials everywhere. She actually commented on this post, if you go up and click her name, you can find all her links on her website <3 -Brighella

Hey! I too am an “elder fan” I used to go the best buy and browse the shelves for new ND games all the time. I miss the 2x a year releases but I’m so happy to see updates happening! How is it being on the staff now after being a fan for so long?

  10. JanWam says:

I have long been a fan of ND and have all of the games on cd except the last one. I got a new MacBook Air and tried to play it but in the end it would’nt work and I got a refund. I miss ND. I’m not sure the looooong wait was worth it. I didn’t have any problems with the way it was. 2 a year game me something to look forward to. When will we be getting a new one? Soon I hope? Fingers crossed. Please shed some light for those of us who have been faithful.
