Nancy Drew Reboot – Take 2!

While the producers are still the same, it looks like the cast will be entirely different, and the plot will change than the first script.
What are your thoughts? While I am excited for anything new that is Nancy Drew… I am often concerned about the quality and how they handle the character. For example, I am reading a Nancy Drew Diaries book (brand new) and it says that Nancy’s boyfriend attends River heights University. Anyone who knows the cannon knows that Ned Nickerson attends Emerson College.
Anyways, I could rant just as much as I could share my excitement. I’m 50/50 on the new idea of a Nancy Drew show. 😉

Hi LJ! You said recently that a comment being “overly rude” might get it deleted from the Facebook page. I’m curious – where does someone calling frustrated fans “a bunch of entitled ridiculous twits” fall in regards to rudeness? Because that’s in a comment on Gnillet Ton’s post from October 12. While that comment itself may be worthy of removal, i agree with the sentiment. Personally, any frustration i may have felt about MID was long ago Waaayyy overshadowed by frustration over all the resulting fan drama.

Excited for the show, but I have a question. When/will you guys get more physical games? Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer to have the game vs. a digital download.
Hi Happypuppyharley! When we first make a game, we order X-amount to be made into physical. Once they are sold out, that’s it. We do not order more to be made. 🙁 At least, we’ve never had plans to do so up to this time.
I was happy to see it change from Nancy being a cop – I just don’t see Nancy as a cop. Too many limitations! But I hope they make it that Nancy is the writer of the series (maybe like a memoir-style, telling of her past cases, then comes up on new ones as she writes). The way the article read it sounded more like it is from the “Carol Keene” perspective, than Nancy doing it. I am crossing my fingers, though – I can’t wait!

Consistency is very important to me as well. I haven’t read any of the diaries because of this. Would you recommend them?
I would recommend the Nancy Drew Diaries t kids 8-13 years old. 🙂
I have always been leery of new Nancy Drew movies and shows because I don’t find any have ever portrayed Nancy Drew right (Pamela Sue Martin came close, but I found the people around her weren’t right), but this new take on Nancy has potential. I just hope they don’t change too much of the Nancy Drew-verse.
That’s nice. Although it’d be great to also receive a new MID update? I know you’re not in charge of this, but there should be a way to add in some details just to inform the fans that are wondering about more news. It doesn’t have to be the confidential stuff, just something. We’ve been anticipating this installment for quite a while and since there’s the new VA for ND, we want a sneak peek! 😀

Hi Joe Cheesy, I would love to share more behind the scenes and sneak peeks. But I must wait for the go-ahead to do so. Also, some of the elements I may tease in the game may change along the way – so I don’t want to disappoint you if it never appears in the game.
Are the previous cast returning? From the pilot that was spoken of?
