Podcast, Nancy Drew Stories and Weekend Puzzle #347
Huzzah! Our new podcast features Max Holechek, who was the creative director for Treasure in the Royal Tower, The Final Scene, Secret of the Scarlet Hand, Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, The Haunted Carousel, Danger on Deception Island, The Secret of Shadow Ranch, and is accredited to Curse of Blackmoor Manor. He also voiced miscellaneous characters, like Nicholas Falcone in FIN, Sheriff Meryl Humber in SHA, and Lance Huffington and Luis Guerra in CAR.
(The correct spelling of his name is Holechek – I apologize for the misspelling in the video visual).
Tess and I each shared a video highlighting the Biggest Fan contest, just to give you some inspiration:
Here’s the weekend puzzle:

Where did you get the skeleton man image for the first birthday? It’s really nice.
Hi Dana! I go t it from our art files under our concepts.
Would you be allowed to release concept art under the sections of their games? Like where you put wallpapers and such? I really like concept art!
Hi Dana! I don’t think we’ll be doing that to the actual web pages. However, I do post concept art to the blog every once in a while. 🙂
FIN is my favorite. I’ll definitely have to listen to the podcast. Thanks for doing the podcast… they’re so interesting! Fight the Power! 🙂
Weekend Puzzle Response: I would like to hear Nancy Drew’s old voice actor (Lani Minella) on the podcast or Nancy Drew’s new voice actor on the podcast.
I second this.
Hello Denise, we were aware of and had read the article you mentioned and quoted. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for deleting the comment even though there was nothing bad about it. It was simply the truth.
Hi! I was wondering if I could please get a Birthday shout-out on July 26th? My favorite games are The Shattered Medallion, The Deadly Device, and Trail of the Twister! Thank you so much! 🙂
You bet!
Also, what’s up with the company completely ceasing to respond to fans/customers on Facebook?
Hello again Denise. We try our best to respond to every comment and question, and apologize if we don’t get to all of them.
But the Facebook team responds to NO ONE. This isn’t just missing a few here and there. I’m not sure which is worse: getting a copy-paste answer, or getting no answer at all. It seems like HeR is doing everything they can to ignore Midnight in Salem, and that includes ignoring the customers and fans that ask about the game and express their disappointment.
Gnillet – the truth is we do not have any news to share. We are not copy-pasting, but are typing this out every time. The status in our messaging has not changed, and some fans will not accept the answer we have. I’m sorry I don’t have better news to share.
I sympathize with how frustrating it must be to have to keep trying to answer fans who don’t want to accept your answers, but if you’re not “copy-pasting” on Facebook then your team sure has a knack for making the exact same typos in multiple responses.
Thank you for your feedback, Daae48. We will try to review and correct each response in perfect grammar going forward. I apologize for the errors.
Ah, it appears that my point got lost in my snark. (Unless it was your goal to miss my point?) I apologize if I wasn’t clear. My comment was not a complaint about grammar – no apology needed there. My point was that your claim that your team types out fresh answers each time (when in the past those answers have perfectly preserved typos through several responses over multiple days) strains credulity.
What happen to the update on mid??? I know it was about a week ago when it was being edited!!!
