LJ is Back from Vacation!
Howdy all! I’m back from my honeymoon and vacation. Tess has done a terrific job keeping you in the loop while I was gone (thanks Tess!!) I thought to share some of my adventures that reminded me of Nancy Drew…. well, sort of. Here are some pictures!
Mystery #1 – the water in Whistler, Canada was green. It was weird. But I learned later that the water from nearby Green Lake was like that, too.
There were many cute buildings, and most of them in Whistler Village were hotels above the shops. This shop sign shown in this picture was for Zipline adventures!
Because food. This was at my favorite bakery up in Whistler Village. I purchased the egg Brioche in the middle there.
We went on a short hike to Brandywine Falls, which was really pretty!
A short ways from Brandywine Falls was a great view of the river and mountains. Since it was summer, it never felt anything like The White Wolf of Icicle Creek (which takes place in Canada). Oh well! It was still a great adventure! And now I’m glad to be back in the office. 🙂
Anyways, here’s the solution to Tess’s weekend puzzle:

Welcome back, LJ! I’m glad you had a nice time! Anyway, I was wondering how you get the creepy static phone call in SAW? I can’t seem to get it. I’ve followed online playthroughs that got the phone call but I just can’t seem to get it myself. Can you help? Thanks. Oh, and I played on junior level if that makes a difference.
Hi Haley! I don’t remember off the top of my head, but I think you may be referring to the recorder…? I think you need to read somewhere about the Haunted Hot Spots at the Ryokan and use the recorder to record sounds in those places. One of them leads to an Easter Egg. I suggest posting this question on the Message Boards — someone there can certainly help with a specific answer!
No, I’m referring to a creepy phone call Nancy will get on her phone sometime in the game. If you can’t help, that’s OK.(:
Welcome back, LJ! Tell your new husband that all the ND geeks said “Hello.”
OMG, Canada is so beautiful, and the food looks amazing.
Welcome back! You seem to have enjoyed your vacation alot. Next time come go to Jamaica.
Welcome back LJ! Whistler is a great place, lovely in winter.
I don’t know if you guys know this, but when you’re playing the older games(like Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake) you can add extra scenes by hitting Ctrl+V, Ctrl+C, or Ctrl+X, but only each time you play it. The newest game I can get to do this is “Curse of Blackmoor Manor.” Did I mess up the game somehow?
You mean like triggering the *little spoiler* witch in Blackmoor Manor?
Yeah, but there’s also a scene where Mrs. Drake puts an amulet on Linda’s door. This scene ONLY shows its self when I do that cool computer magic trick.
Welcome back, Little Javkal

I missed you all, too!!
