Streaming Nancy Drew
For those of you who aren’t aware, video game streaming is a big thing! Perhaps you’ve seen arglefumph‘s videos of Nancy Drew on his YouTube channel, or even YourGibs or other fans’ channels, but there is another way to watch Nancy Drew games. LIVE!
Some fans and professional gamers have taken Nancy Drew to the social gaming site Twitch where they play the games live. There is a chat box for everyone watching to comment and participate in, too. It’s really fun to join a gamer playing Nancy Drew live! I’ve seen a few people play games like Legend of the Crystal Skull, Secret of the Scarlet Hand, Ghost of Thornton Hall and more!
Here’s a short list of those gaming channels, but be forewarned, some players (or those people in the chat bar) use language that is not under our “E” rating.
Hmm…. I’m getting an idea…

Ooo yes! Make a twitch channel for HeR! That would be so awesome!
I haven’t watched those channels, but a while ago I watched part of the youtuber day9’s playthrough of SAW on twitch 😀 There was even a HeR programmer in the chat which was pretty cool 😛
I remember that! I was watching them as well as a few other team members here. 🙂
Hi Little Jackalope!
I was wondering if you could give me a birthday shoutout? I am turning 21 on February 17th!
You bet!
Oooh I’ll have to check these live game vids. And what’s your idea Little Jackalope…do tell do tell……..
Sounds like fun!
Thanks for posting these Twitch links! I haven’t been able to find any Nancy Drew streamers in the past. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them. Maybe I’ll do some streaming myself 😉
i llloooovvvveee AF VIDS THEY ARE SOO GOOD
I stream on Twitch and spend a LOT of time there. It would be great to see Nancy Drew gamers beyond myself on Twitch more often. I’ll be there on the 3rd with my Twitch buddies.~
I want to stream Nancy Drew Games on Twitch but I get OBS to cooperate.
Hi Nicholas! Start with trying the newer Nancy Drew games first – open up the game and edit the settings to play in Windowed Mode. Then in OBS you can choose to capture a specific window and select that game to appear. The older games are trickier because they are smaller resolutions and only play in Full Screen mode, which throws off everything.
