Gelato and Tea

Do I talk about food too much? Perhaps. But food can be quite an adventure! Especially when trying new things.

In Ghost of Thornton Hall, you have the option to make tea. In the parlor, by the door, is an old-fashioned tea set where you can pour yourself a cup of tea and if you’d like; add a spoonful of sugar, a sprig of mint and a lime. Or any combination of those you’d prefer…

In real life I often have a cup of tea, but not usually in a fancy old tea cup with saucer. I usually have an English Breakfast tea in a huge mug with a little bit of hazelnut coffee creamer. That’s just how I like it. Is iced tea better? Or do you like tea served hot?

Today, a few team members and I went on an afternoon ice cream hunt since it was really hot outside today…particularly in search for Gelato…which is different by the way. (Gelato is made from milk, while ice cream is made from cream). We went to a little outdoor Gelato shop and there I tried two flavors: salted caramel and Nutella chocolate. The salted caramel was best.

I failed to get a snapshot (my hands were full) of this cute stand and treat. The Gelato did remind me of first of Alibi in Ashes with all the crazy ice cream flavors, but more accurately I should mention The Phantom of Venice. At Velina’s flower stand are several flavors of…you guessed it…Gelato! If you ever get the chance to try Gelato, add that to your secret list of real-life Nancy Drew moments, ’cause it totally counts.

Personally, I like hot tea better. I only like iced tea if it’s full of flavor. (Mainly, sugar.) But since my mom doesn’t like sugary drinks in the house, I usually just stick to hot tea. My favorite is peppermint. It always puts me in a calm mood.

I was at a cafe with a group of friends today, and one of my friends, (who’s name is Jessalyn by the way. She says thanks for naming a character with her name.) Got this strawberry smoothie that looked exactly like something you’d buy at scoop. It was in a tall clear glass with whipped cream on top, along with a strawberry slice. I would have taken a picture, but she had already started drinking it.

Cool! LJ that’s funny since I drink Giant Eagle’s brand of organic Breakfast tea. It is soooooooooooooo good! I usually just use milk…. but the coffee creamer sounds even better! 😀 And I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE gelato! You are so lucky to have all of those food trucks pass by and stuff! lol 🙂 -ND’s #1 fan

Yum!! We got gelato from Wal-Mart once, and it was soooo good. (: I also got gumbo once, and I really liked it too. (: Yesterday I made JJ’s mint cookies, from DAN, and they where good too! I love making/trying foods from ND games. (: It’s so fun. (:

I like my tea very plain – I’m kind of boring that way. I like chamomile the best, and Celestial Seasonings makes this great Tension Tamer blend….
I do like ice coffee, though, with some vanilla in it. Summer’s fast approaching, so I really ought to buy some!

Hey LJ, did HER want to make the tea making option a game? Because I was so prepared to do some hard tea making puzzle for Clara or something, but it never happened. But I still thought it was fun!

I LOVE tea. I drink a Gallon a day! Which is really bad cause that’s all I drink (no water). Don’t do that cause now I have gotten de-hydrated and stuff! XP

But I also like ice Cream! I actually have a pic of an ice cream parlor that is called Scoops. I should email it to you sometime!

Ooh! I’d love to try real Gelato. I recently tried something called Italian Ice. It was incredible-I need more! I’ve tried tea several times,I just don’t care for the taste. I wish I did. Maybe I will when I’m older.

I like all kinds of teas, Black, White, Red, Herbal, Green, blah blah blah…. But any way I don’t like my tea too strong or too weak. I don’t like it overly sugared either. I like it iced or hot! I wonder…… what does Gelato taste like….. ”Mooooooommmmm can we go to the store?” lol
