Interview with Sales Director Melissa
We interviewed our Sales Director, Melissa! Read what she has to say when we put her in the spotlight:
Her Interactive: How long have you worked at Her Interactive?
I’ve been here for a year and a half now!
Her Interactive: What do you do as Sales Director?
I get to work with all of the retailers that sell our games, making sure we produce the right quantities for stores and planning retail marketing. In addition I work with our digital partners to plan launches and promotions. The un-glamorous side of my job involves a lot of spreadsheets, budgeting, forecasting and oodles of contracts.
Her Interactive: What is your favorite movie?
It depends on who I’m with- most of the snow days last week were spent watching Tinkerbell movies with the under-5 crowd, but I would have preferred a little more action like in Casino Royale or the Bourne series.
Her Interactive: If you could travel anywhere and do anything, where would you go and what would you do?
Coming into the Her Interactive offices each morning is like an adventure every day, though coming from cool & gray Seattle, I dream of being on a hot tropical island in the South Pacific going scuba diving all morning, hiking all afternoon, and fishing to catch my dinner.
Her Interactive: What is your favorite Ice Cream Flavor? Either in real life or from the ice cream parlor in Alibi in Ashes?
DQ Butterfinger Blizzards (but it’s definitely not me raiding all of the Butterfinger bites from the office candy dish, no way).
Her Interactive: If confronted with one of the following options, which would you choose?
- Expose and catch a criminal
- Sleep in a haunted place
- Hunt for treasure in a dangerous location
Definitely Expose and catch a criminal! I love that "aha moment"!
Her Interactive: Do you have a favorite saying or quote?
"If you don't invest very much, then defeat doesn't hurt very much and winning is not very exciting."
Her Interactive: If you attended a murder mystery dinner party, which character would you most likely be?
- The Culprit
- The Victim
- The Innocent Dinner Guest
- The Inspector
I decided to host a murder mystery dinner party once- it was so much fun and everyone really got into the roles, even dressing up! I like being the culprit though- it gives me a chance to practice my sales skills. 🙂
Thank you Melissa for all your hard work!
