Not every sleuth solves their cases solo. Even Nancy Drew needs the occasional helping hand. Whether it’s an informative discussion about gadgets from George, a confidence boost from Ned, or some expert advice from a notable historian, a little assistance can go a long way. In fact quite a few cases have required Nancy to work hand-in-hand with other detectives, like the Hardy Boys. Nancy is always willing to work with others to get the job done.
When we’re creating a new Nancy Drew mystery, we also have to team up and work together to make the best game possible. Each person has their own unique skills and creativity that brings something new and exciting to game, like story, art, or design. By cooperating with each other, we can make an even better game than we could alone. In many ways we’re just like Nancy; who can take on these huge and often scary cases with the help of a few trusted allies.
In the spirit of good cooperation we’re going to be running a special contest till February. To enter, all you need to do is answer the question below in a short paragraph!
Which character from the Nancy Drew PC games do you think Nancy would team up with best? And why?

We’ll pick two winners and announce them on Feb 10th on the Amateur Sleuth blog. The winners will get their pictures placed in Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse! The full rules are listed below:
- You may only submit one entry.
- The contest is open to everyone, including citizens outside the U.S.
- The minimum length is approximately one paragraph (100 words), there is no maximum length.
- You may only choose characters that have appeared in Nancy Drew games, though you may choose a phone friend that you don’t actually see (ex. Ned Nickerson)
- You may choose a suspect, if they are particularly helpful, even if that character turns out to be the culprit
