We recommend our games for sleuths age 10 and up. HeR Interactive’s games have been rated “E” or “E10+” by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). The ESRB is an independent agency that rates and monitors products in the game software industry. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the ESRB rating system so you can identify appropriate game content for your family.
As required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, HeR Interactive does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose certain, personal information from children under age 13 without parental consent. Children under age 13 may not participate in any activities or services offered on the site which require registration, including the Message Boards, without the prior written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Once HeR Interactive has obtained consent from the parent or guardian of a minor, we will only ask the child to provide information that is reasonably necessary for participation in the site’s activities and services.
Any time a child under age 13 registers with the message boards, or provides personal information via the site, HeR Interactive will send their parent or legal guardian an email containing a COPPA Consent Form. You may consent to your child providing personal information and/or participating in certain activities and services offered on the site, by completing and signing the Consent Form, and either faxing the completed Consent Form to HeR Interactive at 425-460-8788, mailing the completed form to HeR Interactive, Inc., 325 – 118th Ave. S.E., Suite 209, Bellevue, WA 98005 or emailing the completed form to email@example.com. No child under age 13 may submit or post personal information on or to the site prior to HeR Interactive’s receipt of a Consent Form which provides verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Information Your Child Gives Us: HeR Interactive receives and stores any information your child enters on the site (for example, when he or she registers with the site, participates in chat or bulletin boards, or participates in contests, events or promotions) or provides in any other manner, including via e-mail. This may include personally identifiable information, such as your child’s screen name, name, e-mail address, home address, or phone number, as well as photos, videos and/or audio recordings containing your child’s image and/or voice, or other personally-identifiable information (“personal information”). HeR Interactive may also collect general demographic information, such as your child’s age, hobbies, and other preferences. HeR Interactive will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for participation in the site’s activities and services.
Automated Information Collection: HeR Interactive receives and stores certain types of information whenever your child visits the site. In addition to information your child provides, we may collect the name of the domain and host from which he or she accesses the Internet; the IP address of the computer he or she is using; the browser and operating system he or she is using; the date and time he or she accesses the site; and the Internet address of the web site from which he or she linked to the site. We use “cookies” to automatically gather some of this information. A cookie is a small text file that HeR Interactive system sends to your child’s computer to collect information about his or her activities on the site. The cookie transmits this information back to the site each time your child’s browser requests a page from the site, and the information is stored to help facilitate his or her use of the site the next time he or she visits. If your child does not want to receive cookies from the site, he or she can set his or her browser to not accept cookies.
In addition, users may publish information to the Message Board.
The parent or legal guardian who has consented to a child registering with the site and/or providing personal information to the site may later:
by contacting HeR Interactive at firstname.lastname@example.org with “REMOVE” in the subject line, and include the child’s name and email address and the parent or guardian’s name and email address, plus any applicable access code provided by HeR Interactive.
Children over age 13 may register and participate in activities and services on the site without the permission of a parent or legal guardian. HeR Interactive will use reasonable efforts to respond to requests by parents of children over age 13 regarding their child’s use of the site.
