Nancy Drew Fans –
There is so much going on at Her Interactive that it’s hard to know where to start! It’s definitely a very exciting time at the home of Nancy Drew games!
This week we will be announcing a new innovative mobile game series that introduces a younger version of Nancy Drew who uses coding to solve mysteries. This new initiative will be the first under a new division called Her Interactive Kids (HI Kids), which will focus on mobile games and apps geared to a younger audience. If you have kids or have a younger sister or brother, we hope you will introduce this Nancy Drew app to them.
Launching in spring 2016, Nancy Drew: Codes & Clues™ is a fun, story-driven mobile game that will expose younger kids to computer programming principles such as loops, sequencing, pattern recognition, spatial visualization skills, and problem solving while engaging them in exciting mysteries. Part of the inspiration for this new game series came from the many fan emails and letters we have received over the years telling us how Her Interactive games influenced STEM education and career choices. So thank you!
In the meantime, we are continuing our development of Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem on a Unity-based platform. At this time, we still plan to release this title next year but will provide an exact release date as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience and understand your excitement around this title. We know that many of you have become accustomed to our twice yearly release of our PC/Mac series but we promise it will be worth the wait.
With the upcoming holidays, we hope that many of you will be able to take advantage of our numerous sales, contests and promotions during this festive period. We enjoy sharing the joy of Nancy Drew with as many people as possible during this special time of year.
Lastly, we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Team Her Interactive
