Ladyhawk

Born in 2000, Ladyhawk spent the first years of her life as a pet. Wolves, however, are wild animals and the owners were unable to care for her properly. She now lives an enclosure at Wolf Haven, where she is able to exercise her natural instincts instead of conforming to human expectations.

As the days pass, Ladyhawk grows bolder and healthier. She is curious about new things as the animal care staff strives to rehabilitate her. Although Ladyhawk will never be able to return to the wild, she will at least live in comfort at the sanctuary. Her bittersweet story serves as a reminder of why humans should not try to tame wild animals.

There are other less fortunate wolves.  You can help by adopting a wolf or raising awareness for wolf conservation. Learn more about wolves at Wolf Haven.
