Team Building

Over the weekend, Her Interactive gathered for a retreat near a quaint bavarian town. A tour bus shuttled us to our destination Sunday afternoon, and we played some fun games. My favorite one was "Your Top 5..." Afterwards, we ate a delicious dinner made of organic veggie straight from their garden! I played ping pong and 'catch phrase' - both incredibley fun.

Although it rained incessantly over the weekend, I still enjoyed playing games and hanging out with my coworkers. It gave me an opportunity to get to know people outside of thier cubicles. We also filled out questionaires about ourselves and then had to guess which answers belonged to whom. Everyone recognized me from the books on my nightstand. Late at the night, I soaked in the hot tub and relaxed in the sauna.

Oh, and I saw Icicle Creek! However, it wasn't a creek when I saw it, but a raging river tearing at the banks, swallowing everything in its path. Despite all the road closures from flooding, we made it back safely. Horray for a fabulous retreat! Thanks to Megan for letting us go for a wonderful weekend of fun and games. :)

P.S. Mo - I hope your ankle heals quickly.

What was the 'Top 5' game? I spent a lot of time reading and finished 2 books. It was fun playing ping-pong once they let me play a game or two and learning a new form of Hearts.

The 'top 5' game was the one where someone asked for a list of the top 5 things of their choice and everyone would respond enthusiastically by counting. I played 2 games of HEARTS too
