Beach Combing


Prickly Horn - (Cerithium echinatum) Common on reefs; stout spines; can reach 2 inches

Flea Cone - (Conus pulicarius) Common, found in sand and on reefs; coronated spire; pale white with brown-black spots

Sunrise Shell - (Nodipecten langfordi) Member of the scallop family, rare; found on sand, bright colors supposedly make it easiest to see at sunrise -- hence the name
