Halloween Hootenanny!

Very few people dressed up for Halloween :( - but I went as 'Super Glue' and stuck a whole bunch of stuff to my hair. Afterwards, we all sat down to our favorite game, which will remain a mystery.

NOTE the bright red gun in the foreground. That's a relic from when we were American Laser Games. We've sure come a long way from shoot-em-ups to crafty mysteries featuring ND!

Café Craziness!

I met with the artists, level designers and script writer to discuss the Café environment and the cool activity that will take player here. Here's another cryptic clue about one of the puzzles that will take place there.

(Ack - I cannot upload photos. Stay tuned!)

New Puzzles!

Discussed a new puzzle with the artists and developers. It's a tough one because the artists will need to design most of it; but they're very smart and clever people and I really think that this will be one of the coolest aspects of the game. Below is a drawing that I made of one of the puzzle elements.

Blast from the Past!

One of the characters from a previous game is having a 'cameo' appearance in DAN and I just finished working with a 2D artist to design a puzzle that surrounds her. I wasn't looking forward to designing this puzzle as I thought it'd take a long time, but once I sat down and figured it out, I realized how easily the design came. I had to do a ton of photo reference research and came across some very funny photos. Sadly, I cannot share any with you. You'll just have to wait for the game to come out! :(

Can you hear me now?

Whew! We just finished recording for all of the animated characters. It sure takes a lot out of you to direct actors in voice recording. Especially when we're doing German, French, British accents... I got to record a couple segments which is always fun but difficult. I think acting is one of the hardest things to do - I don't know how they do it!
