The
Beginning of a New Adventure
Newsletter subscribers only
Remember when the Nancy Drew(R)
PC games just started with a letter? We've updated the games since then
with more heart-pounding opening sequences, but we know you still love
the letters. So, as a tribute to the past 15 games, here's the letter
that would have appeared at the beginning of The White Wolf of Icicle
Creek.

My
dear friend,
Well, here I am on a plane (a very small plane!) bound for
Canada -- specifically, for Icicle Creek Lodge, a guest lodge deep in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta.
|
 |
I'm going to try to figure out why so many accidents have been happening there. The woman who runs the Lodge called me out of the blue, saying that Bet and Ed Rawley from Shadow Ranch (Aunt Bet and Uncle Ed to you!) had recommended me. She sounded so desperate that I couldn't refuse.
|
 |
She said they've been having a really cold, snowy winter up there and that I should pack accordingly, and then she said something about a wolf. The connection was getting really bad, and I could barely hear her, but I'm pretty sure she used
the word "prowling" (or was it "howling"?) along
|
|
with "dangerous" and "be careful." Accidents are one thing, but
wild animals? Yikes. I hope I know what I'm getting into.
Uh-oh. Gotta put this away because we're about to land. I'll let you know what happens when (and if!) I get back.
Yours drewly,
Nancy |

Last month you were introduced to Alice Field; this month, in a new
story, Alice is skiing with her parents. But a mix-up leaves
Alice at home, on her own, while outside on the mountain, it's
dark and snowing heavily. What should Alice do? Stay home by
herself, or head out into the snow to try to find her parents? Find
out what happens in
Inanimate
Alice, Episode 2: Italy. |
|
This month, the team behind
Inanimate Alice
is offering a whole new
set of exclusive free bonus materials to Nancy Drew newsletter
readers. These include a brief animation of Alice's tutor Ayisha
dancing, as well as new screensavers and wallpapers. Plus two more
never-before-released Inanimate Alice music tracks for you to

within the webpage.
