Kapu - Hawaiian for forbidden
Nancy has barely had time to say 'hi' to Mr. Woogle Wogle, and she's off to Hawaii to help Dr. Quigley Kim, her father's friend. Although Hawaii's beaches would be the perfect place to relax, Nancy soon finds herself snooping through the mysterious Hilihili research facility to uncover the legend of the Kāne 'Ōkala.
Legend says, Kāne 'Ōkala is a monster who unleashes pestilence, blight, and destruction upon the island when he is disturbed. Burned by Kilauea volcano, he leaves a stench of sulfur and ash in his wake.
Earthquakes rock the island and an uncontrollable disease destroys the pineapple crop causing the residents to whisper that the Hilihili research compound has awoken the dreaded Kāne 'Ōkala.
Could the
Kāne 'Ōkala be more than just a legend?
Or, is there another explanation for the desperate rumblings of the
