Patch/Update: Nancy "walks in place", Kyler conversation freeze (CD version)

ISSUE:

1. At the beginning of the game, Nancy appears to "walk in place" on the map.
2. While speaking with Kyler late in the game, the conversation freezes.

This patch will address both items.

CAUSE:

Nancy walking in place is normally experienced by machines that do not meet our minimum specifications or their drivers are not updated.

The Kyler convo freeze is an issue with the game itself.

***This patch is for the CD version of the game only, if you purchased the Digital Download version of the game, please click here.***

RESOLUTION:

First, please be sure your video card drivers are updated with the most recent version from your computer manufacturer (eg: Dell, Gateway, IBM), as well as DirectX from Microsoft.

Then click on this HAU 1.1 patch.exe link to save the file to your computer. After the file has downloaded, double-click on the icon to open and run the program. Windows may request your permission to start the installation, click on Run to continue. An installation wizard window will appear to guide you through the install process. Once the installation is complete, you'll be able to start the game as usual and the patch will be in place.

This patch may not work for older video cards that are not fully DirectX 9.0 compatible. If you continue to encounter any problems with Nancy walking in place, please send an email to Tech Support with your DxDiag information and a brief description of the problem.
