Game Production Scripter

Position Status: Limited-Term Employment - Full Time

Summary

Works as a supportive member of the production team to implement features and art as necessary to augment the game design and support building that title. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarity and passion for computer games, especially casual and online games.
• Understanding of game-play mechanics, level design and content design.
• Competence with software applications for script editing, image editing, sound editing and general office and scheduling tools.
• Self-motivated, schedule-driven and diligent.
• Ability to work quickly and independently to learn new software applications and interfaces.
• Experience building process and efficiency tools for use in the game production pipeline.
• Experience with at least one scripting language (Lua is a plus).
• Strong verbal and written skills; ability to communicate effectively with team members and to oragnize and document ideas so that other team members can understand them.
• College-level degree (or equivalent) in technical field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of high quality mystery adventure PC games designed for the casual online downloadable market.
• Create efficient, well-oragnized script and logic files which implement the design vision.
• Create and add sound effects, background music and other details to achieve to enhance the game.
• Assist game producer to keep all game production tasks on schedule and maintain high quality for the game.
• Assist game producer and team members in keeping relevant documents up to date.
• Assist in testing and QA for the game as it is developed.
• Excel as a team member and strive to maximize team performance.

Education and Experience

·       Completed degree in computer science, mathematics or a related technical discipline.
