Mon, 2010-05-24 22:00 — HerInteractiveWe're trying something new for Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister that we hope our fans will like - a Special Edition version for fans who preorder the game! In order get this Special Edition, you must preorder the game by 6/16 on www.HerInteractive.com - it can be either a digital download or a boxed game.
In the Special Edition you'll receive:
- More Pa Pennies that you'll be able to find around the homestead to purchase candy from the local store which has new candy from the makers for KoKo Kringles. This is similar to the coin system in the the Phantom of Venice. In the normal version, you will only be able to get more Pa Pennies by playing Land Rush (get some more practice playing the free minigame on our website if you don't plan on preordering) or fixing circuit boards.
- Extra Sassy Detective award - there will be 13 stars on the badge instead of the usual 12.
- Extra outtakes - if you achieve all 13 Sassy Detective awards, there are 2 extra outtakes at the end of the game.

Pete doesn't have a lot of experience chasing storms, but he's dreamed about this exciting adventure since was a kid. Securing a summer internship as a storm chaser is definitely the opportunity of a lifetime! Although Pete's enthusiastic about chasing storms, there's a lot of behind the scenes work he has to do before he's ready for the real thing. From getting coffee for the team in the morning to driving the Doppler truck, Pete has quite few adventures and misadventures along the way. Following the Trail of the Twister
Fri, 2010-05-07 18:12 — HerInteractiveNancy Drew: Trail of the Twister is fast approaching and we want to make sure everyone is well aware of the upcoming storm!
We're working on a microsite for Trail of the Twister themed around the Canute Meteorology Department. It's meant to be an educational website about tornados that you might see for a school department. There's information about the equipment they use, the lingo they speak, biographies for the team members, and even a section to join the team. You'll find some of this information in the actual game, but our microsites are designed to give you a peek into the universe of the game beyond the actual story and gameplay.
Canute is pretty serious about its research so there isn't a whole lot of extras such as wallpapers or downloads on the website, but they are interested in prospective students who have a passion for meteorology to join the team. The website will feature a simulator to test if fans have what it takes to make good decisions in the middle of a storm chase. Will you be able to pass the test and become a storm chaser?

Spending Time with Mom
Mon, 2010-05-03 17:57 — HerInteractiveGrowing up, I would always beg my mom to buy me the Nancy Drew books from the Scholastic catalog. She never really liked these books and wished that I would read classic literature instead. But if I did well in school, she would reward me with one book for the quarter. My sister and I both made sure we studied hard so we could attempt to collect all of the books in the Nancy Drew series. Although we were never able to collect all the books, we did have about 20 or so between the two of us that we read over and over again. I have to thank for my mom for encouraging us to get good grades and read more, even if it wasn't Swiss Family Robinson or Huckleberry Finn. She always supported us in our decisions and made sure we had everything we needed.
This weekend, remember to spend time with your Mom and let her know how much you appreciate all the things she's done for you. You could start a new tradition by playing a Nancy Drew game together. If she hasn't played a Nancy Drew PC game before, we suggest starting with the Nancy Drew Dossier series or this month's special, Secret of the Old Clock, which is on sale for just $14.99.
