Wii Game
Fri, 2008-06-27 11:55 — HerInteractive
Way to go for those of you who guessed that The White Wolf of Icicle Creek would be the game we would release on the Wii!
Although most of the game will be the same, a lot of the puzzles have been redesigned speciflly to take advantage of the gesture-based controls. That means you'll get to make real cooking movements, like whisking the eggs for omletts or cracking eggs for french toast. It''ll be a lot more action oriented! I mean, imagine how fun it will be to throw snowballs at Freddie!
I know that most of you have already played The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, but do you plan on buying it for the Wii? It will be a different experience, but does it bother you that the game is already kind of spoiled because you know who the culprit is?

I want to let you in on a secret... Shh!
It's not official until tomorrow when the press release comes out, but we're going to bring one of your favorite games to the Nintendo Wii. That's right, you'll be able to solve the mystery by pointing at your TV screen with the Wii-mote. You'll also be able to solve puzzles by making some of the gestures that simulate what you're actually doing on the screen. Pretty cool huh?
We're extremely excited, but the game won't be about until this winter. Can you guess which game it's going to be?
PS. Preorders for The Phantom of Venice started yesterday, so make sure you reserve your copy today!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to help test the game for Her Interactive and learn more about how games are made? Now's your chance - we're looking for people to join our Advisory Panel!
Here's the catch: you must be able to come to Bellevue, Washington at least twice a year. We need you to come to our offices because the game is in its early stages and we want to talk to you directly. When a game in still in development, sometimes we just uses pieces of paper to represent a puzzle that we're trying to test, and it probably wouldn't make any sense at all without having someone explain it to you...
It is important for us to work with fans who we can talk to directly to make our games better BEFORE it gets to the stores. This way, we can make the game possible. Often, we've all played the game hundreds of times already, so someone who hasn't played the game yet can give us a fresh perspective about things that might seem so obvious to us. As much as we'd like to assume that players understand the intructions for any puzzle we create, this simply isn't true. Or sometimes, our puzzles are just too hard and not very much fun to solve, and our Advisory panelists help us identify these problems.
To submit and application for the Advisory Panel: http://www.herinteractive.com/corp/index.shtml
We look forward to reading your applications!

Sorry it's been so long since we last posted information, but we had some technical issues with updating from the new servers. As some of you might have noticed, we have uploaded the DEMO for The Phantom of Venice!
Play the demo (180MB) for the game and get familiarized with Venice before you start the case. Right click on the download link, select SAVE LINK; once the file has downloaded, right click on the file, select OPEN WITH --> COMPRESSED FOLDERS and extract everything into a new folder. Click on "PhantomOfVenice.exe" to start the game.
